Fishing

Fishing is a gathering skill. It requires a minimum of Crude tools to perform. Each fishing roll is versus environment, & each roll is 1 daily task for fishing.

The Baseline difficulty for Fishing is 15. While fishing in an area doesn’t change that value by default, GM may adjust that number based on any number of factors. But the main advantage of Fishing is intended to be that the target number generally should remain the same, even after years of fishing in any location.

The Legendary Mercury Lake, poison swamps, deep oceans, overcrowded city shores, etc. probably have higher (or even impossible) target numbers.

Fishing is performed as a roll of: Fishing skill+ Presence + 1d20 vs 15.

For each number rolled over the target number the fisherman gains 1 unit of food.

While the rolls remain the same, when this skill is used with a Basic toolkit; double the amount of food obtained on any successful roll. Also, with a Workshop; quadruple the amount of food obtained on a successful roll.
