Bowyer(adv)

Prerequisite skills — Woodworks: 5

With the Bowyer skill, a character may create Bows rated in Tier value up to their Bowyer level (ie: Bowyer: 8 can make up to T8 Bow). Additionally, they may create arrows at the rate of 1 per skill point in Bowyer each day. Tool production multiplier effects function with ammunition creation.

This skill requires a minimum of Crude tools & all required materials on hand.

The time it takes to create Bow is: the desired Tier value multiplied by itself.

[Tier value x Tier value] = days to create a Bow with Crude tools.

Basic tools will double output & a Workshop will quadruple output from baseline (even for creating arrows).

Required materials for creating bows are: wood material of either 1 beam or 1 lumber, & 5 feet of cordage.

Required materials for creating arrows are: feathers, wood shaft material of either 1 beam or 1 lumber (each granting 100 arrow shafts), & stone/bone/metal arrowhead material.

-Arrowheads may be created with Metalworks skill, granting 30 per ingot used (there is no bonuses from higher Tier ingots at this time).

-Stone arrowheads may be scavenged in most areas with GM approval.

-Bone arrowheads may be processed by breaking down 1 Bone Shard. This creates 5 Bone arrowheads. This process does not take additional time when creating arrows with this skill.

-Feathers may be collected with Trapping skill anywhere there are birds (or they may be scavenged in some areas with GM approval).

Repair of bows requires Woodworks: 1+. Bows are destroyed at T0 (& cannot go lower than T0) but may be repaired as long as they are still T1 or higher. Upon repair, requiring 1/100th the creation time, the original Tier value is completely restored.
